Finest Quality, Antique Hand Carved Nutwood Swiss Black Forest Beggar Sculpture

Museum quality and very good condition, Swiss fine art sculpture.
For the collectors of the rarest and best quality antiques only we also have this museum worthy, wooden sculpture of a beggar. This simply can only be the work of a master carver, because to be able to create these details and this much realism takes a god given talent and a lifetime of experience. With the anatomy, the posture AND the balance of this aged beggar in Medieval clothing being perfectly correct, this work of art is simply devine. An experienced antique dealer once taught us that a great sculpture looks great from all angles and that certainly is the case with this striking and sizeable piece. Have you also noticed the wear on this poor old man's Medieval pants and shoes? On one foot you can even see his big toe coming through his worn sock. Despite him missing an index finger, we have no problem rating this rare antique as being of museum quality and with the missing finger being the only damage, this piece certainly is in very good condition still. And with this quality antique being made of solid nutwood, this one of a kind beggar sculpture has grown a patina to die for. We feel that especially people who realize how fortunate they have been for things to have gone their way in life, will truly understand and appreciate the uniqueness, the quality and especially the deeper meaning of this antique work of art.
