Salviati Venetian Antique White Aventurine Flecks Italian Art Glass Decanter

About the Item

Beautiful antique Venetian hand blown copper aventurine and twisted white ribbons Italian art glass decanter with shot glass stopper. Documented to Salviati dot. Antonio circa 1872-1895. Created in the "Vetro A Retorti" Zafirico ribbon technique. Glitters in any light. The bottle has 2 curled rings around the neck. Collectors item. Measures 9 1/2" tall with stopper (8 5/8" without) x 4" wide. Literature: Exquisite glass Ornaments - The 19th century Murano glass revival in the Boos-Smith collection. "I Color Di Murano Nell '800" The colors of Murano in the XIX century.

    Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown red and white ribbons, with gold flecks Italian art glass Genie bottle decanter. Documented to designer Dino Martens for Aureliano Toso. Similar piece is shown on the Dino Martens book, model number 6293. The decanter has its original stopper filled with gold leaf. It also has an original "Made In Italy" item number label underneath (folded). The alternating ribbon design creates a unique swirling pattern throughout the piece. You can feel each line on the shade, since it is not covered in clear glass. Very elegant shape. Would make a great display piece on any desk, vanity or coffee table. Use it as a decorative piece, or as a flower vase without the stopper. Mid-century era. Measures 12" tall x 4 3/4" wide.
