Pair of Signed Moser Alexandrite Footed Compotes and Vases

About the Item

From my amazing collection of signed Moser, "Alexandrite", these two pairs are sold separately but work beautifully together. Each piece is hand blown with subtle optic ribbing and long elegant lines. The footed Compotes measure 7" H and 6.75" D, and the vases measure 7.75" H and 6" Diameter. This highly reactive glass actually changes colors under different light spectrums and create lively conversations when demonstrated. Please see my other examples listed. These can used together to create a unique and dramatic table setting or a dramatic display. The compotes are priced at $3600 and the vases are priced at $4200.

  • Pair Of Moser Vases
    By Moser
    Located in New Orleans, LA
This captivating pair of Moser vases exemplifies the beauty of Bohemian art glass. Standing over a foot in height and showcasing a rare deep amethyst hue, the glasswork features an intricately gilded band and remains exceptional in both quality and artistry. Encouraged by the Austro-Hungarian governments, Ludvik Moser quickly excelled as a glass artist while completing an apprenticeship under accomplished artist O.J. Mattoni. Through working with the Health Spa at Carlsbad, producing and decorating glassware to hold healing waters found at the spa, Moser quickly acquired a following and demand for his work. By 1857, Moser was able to open his shop full of bright, glistening glass creations. Moser quickly acquired nobility as his clientele and began displaying his work at exhibitions around the world. Some of his well-known patrons include Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain, King Faisal of Saudi Arabia, Pope Pius XI and King Farouk of Egypt...
