French Attributed Unusual Pair of Double Gourd Art Glass Vases, 19th Century

About the Item

A very unusual and fine pair antique French attributed double gourd agate glass vases dating from circa 1850. These stylish vases have random streaks and agate styled trails of predominantly red and brown glass with gold aventrine running through an opalescent glass body. The vases Stand on a narrow rounded foot with a narrow funnel shaped top both with remnants of surface gilding. The vases have polished bases and neither is marked however one retains an old collectors paper label. The vases are offered in excellent condition with rubbing to the surface gilding around the top and lower edges.
