Italian 20th Century Sterling Silver Torchon Vase
About the Item
Sterling silver vase, completely handmade starting from a silver sheet.
The shape of the body is conical.
The base, shaped, is cm. 12.5 (4.92 in.) and extends in size to the top of the "mouth" of the vase with a size of 21 cm. (8.27in.).
A spiral embossing was made on the whole body, making the vase as a whole very bright and balanced.
This spiral cantilever was very difficult to make as the coils end in a point, i.e. the master craftsman had to carry out the work with the utmost attention because there was the real possibility of piercing the slab.
The embossing was thus performed by an expert hand, creating the perfection of the spiral embossed on the vase.
