About the Item
Doulton Lambeth Art Nouveau stoneware vase with stylized floral designs by Nellie Garbett and dating from around 1900. This stylish and tall vase has a central band decorated in relief with three stylized floral designs made up of heart shaped petals and small patterned roundels set within a raised block work border with small repeat tubelined designs on a mottled brown ground above and below. Hand painted in tones of brown, green, blue and ochre the vase has impressed makers marks to the base along with an incised EG for Nellie Garbett.
