French 19th Century Louis XVI St. Ormolu and Crystal Presentoir Centerpiece
About the Item
An exquisite French 19th century Louis XVI st. ormolu and Baccarat crystal two tiered presentoir centerpiece. The presentoir is raised by a square base with an elegant stepped design and a stunning wrap around band with a most unique richly chased array of fruit, blooming flowers, grape leaves and grape clusters at the socle shaped pedestal. Above additional grapes and leaves are the two beautiful cut Baccarat crystal dishes with scalloped shaped borders and lovely spiraled designs centered by the circular fluted tapered ormolu support with a fine top hoop shaped finial. All original gilt throughout.
