Plate Centerpiece, Tray Decorated Bowl, Wall Dish Majolica Aquamarine, In Stock

About the Item

This exclusive ceramic plate is handmade and hand-painted in Italy following the original Renaissance painting technique, unchanged over time, which we observe to the letter: it is decorated in majolica painted in duotone of aquamarine and golden yellow and it shows an elegant decorative motif of the Deruta tradition, inspired by a tile found in a local church and suitably reworked in a modern key. The wide brim, with a raised edge and profiled with a finely painted modular ornament, is characterized by an extensive decorative border band where the traditional peacock feather motifs are represented, decorated with delicate shades of golden yellow shaded with cerium white. Naturalistic decorations are depicted inside the large cable, arranged in specular and radial symmetry which branches off from a central hexagonal element and articulates around the circumference, forming elegant golden yellow raceme motifs that stand out against an aquamarine background. Our majolica plate can be used as a fancy centerpiece or it can be hung as a decorative wall dish. The accuracy of the details adds a further qualitative element to the piece: in particular, our lavish majolica plate is made unique by the presence of hand-painted decorations also on the back of the product, together with the certification mark, bringing back the ancient and almost lost splendor of crafted and precious objects belonging to Italian noble families. COLORS: aquamarine, golden yellow, cerium oxide. Limited Edition of 30 pieces Visit our storefront to discover the whole deBlona collection. The beauty of a deBlona majolica is determined by the ancient process, unchanged over time and handmade, which we observe to the letter in the creation of our artworks: painting ceramics is a very complex, fascinating and insidious art, but it is precisely the human and imperfect sign that makes every piece so characteristic and totally unique. deBlona's essence is represented by the interpretation of the color and by an unrepeatable taste, with which we want to give new chromatic emotions. Majolica accompanies the history of mankind, telling its existence for centuries: here, in our Atelier, we want to keep on narrating our time.
