About the Item
A large and unique studiovase by Carl-Harry Stålhane. Hand-signed.
Part of a small scale production of unique works developed by the art department at the Swedish ceramic producer Rörstrand. The hand of the artist would be highly involved in the execution of the unique works. Any completed example deemed not to the highest quality standard upon inspection, would be destroyed by Stålhane personally.
Up to seven layers of glaze would be applied to the unique works.
Other ceramicists of the period include Berndt Friberg, Axel Salto, and Wilhelm Kåge.
