French Faïence Salins Barbotine Majolica Asparagus & Artichoke Plate

About the Item

A French earthenware, majolica glazed asparagus and artichoke plate, a mold by Salins, circa 1900-1910. A spray of asparagus spears lay across the centre of the plate, an artichoke globe with leaves cover one side of the rim. The other side of the rim is scalloped, there is a shallow sauce well. Measures: 9 in. diameter x .75 in. height – Impressed Salins The expected light wear seen in faïence, without any chipping or cracking.
