About the Item
Handcrafted in Italy from the finest porcelain, Coralla's mugs are of her own design and a symbol of her work. Outside, this Apollo Bianco Coralla's Mug has a deep blue décor enriched by golden nuggets, like a starry night; the inside is painted in white enamel surrounded by a playful golden festoon and animated by colored dots.

First introduced at Milan Design Week 2018, the Apollo collection is named after a hall of the Borghese Gallery in Rome and evokes Renaissance and Baroque art eternal beauty underlined by the gold finishes.
Each Coralla Maiuri product is entirely hand decorated. Each is a work of art. While consistent, they are never identical. Slight variations of decor and color from one to another are not only normal, but to be expected as a sign of their uniqueness.

"The small plate that everyone takes in hand, around the world, several times a day; which contains food that we eat or offer; that we have washed, dried and stored for centuries and millennia, follows us as faithfully as the sun’s sphere. In my work, atavistic memories of a rural past intersect with beauty to create something unique, like a diamond shimmering on the naked ground." Coralla Maiuri lends her sensitivity to the creation of ceramics and porcelains that seem dreamy and familiar at the same time. It is as if plates bowls cups vases sculptures and jars were small universes. Experimentation of materials and decorations never stops in a swirl of creativity. Each object is entirely hand-decorated in Italy from the finest porcelain.
