About the Item

Vase with a three-pass floor plan, widening upwards, dented at the upper edge between the segment arches, outer edge ground at the top. Colorless glass with yellow-orange color powder inclusions in the area of the base and on the upper edge, bluish-white cover layer on the outside and brown overlay, in various stages highly etched decoration with a pond landscape, etched matt on the inside and background on the outside, polished relief. Cameo signature 'Gallé' with star near the bottom. Hand-made Cameo glass: Glass overlaid with several layers, with high-cut worked out motifs. Since the middle of the 19th century, the design has also been done by etching.
