1890 Limoges Porcelain Wild Birds Set for 12 People

About the Item

Very unusual with a deep blue sky in the background and wonderful colors, this antique Limoges set for 12 people is made with the finest quality Limoges porcelain by the Coronet Company, active under this name between 1881-1976. Paintings of the set are signed by Mussil. Each plate is decorated with colorful wild birds. Very refined look with scalloped edges enhanced with gold rim and gold highlights. Stamped on the back: "Limoges France", the Coronet mark with the Emile Bourgeois mark on top. Bourgeois was one of the most famous retailer settled in Paris at the 21 rue Drouot in Paris. Dimensions : Dish : 49,5 cm width x 35 cm length Gravy boat : 24.5 cm width x 13 cm height x 15cm length Plate : 24 cm diameter.
