Wedgwood Antique Three Color Jasperware Medallion Vase

About the Item

A rare Wedgwood three color jasperware beaker shaped vase applied with portrait medallions dating from circa 1790. The vase stands on a rounded foot with inset beaded rim with a beaker shaped body applied with trailing and bow tied ribbons with star designs in relief in white on a green ground with three portrait medallions applied around the body in a lilac ground with white portraits. These are set below a beaded border with further beaded decoration applied to the slightly everted rim. The vase has an impressed Wedgwood mark to the base. A small area of loss to the top rim but still in exceptional condition for age.
