Large glazed ceramic plate 'Tete de Femme' created by Marcel Vertès for Tapis Vert, Vallauris, France, in the 1950s. Signed 'Vertes' and numbered 8 of 100. The inner circle with face and red circles shows a semi mat glaze, while the outer circle shows a mat glaze. Stamped on the reverse: 'Vertes / Edition Tapis Vert / Vallauris / Made in France. Very good, near fine.
