Victorian Antique Sterling Silver Salver with Presentation Inscription - 1875

Hallmarked in London in 1875 by Henry Wilkinson & Co., this attractive, Antique Sterling Silver Salver, stands on ball and claw feet, and features a bead border, engraved decoration, and an engraved presentation inscription to the centre.
The presentation inscription reads:
Presented - along with a silver cake Basket - To - Mr Peter Reid - & a diamond ring for - Mrs Reid - by the employees of - Govan Dyeworks - and a few friends on the occasion - of the stoppage of the works - 20th Sept. 1878.
The salver measures 14.5"(37cm) in diameter and weighs 37.2 troy ounces.
