Antique 1935 English Sterling Silver Sugar Caster

About the Item

A fine and impressive antique George V English sterling silver sugar caster in the Art Deco style; an addition to our silver teaware collection. This fine antique George V sterling silver sugar caster has a tapering cylindrical form onto a plain circular spreading foot. The surface of the caster is plain and unembellished. The sugar caster retains the original hallmarked bayonet fitted cover, encircled with bands of pierced geometric triangular motifs in the Art Deco style. The cover is surmounted by an iconic Art Deco style tapering cylindrical sterling silver finial. This impressive caster bears the retailer's mark / icon (Aladdin's lamp) of James Dixon to the underside. Condition This antique Art Deco caster in sterling silver is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition. The caster has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the body and part hallmarks to the cover are all very clear.
