Antique Georgian Sterling Silver Vinaigrette or Vesta by Thomas Shaw

About the Item

A fine quality late Georgian sterling silver vinaigrette of rectangular form with richly engraved top and bottom. The gold gilt interior with finely pierced foliate scroll grille. By Thomas Shaw of Birmingham, England, circa 1832. Marked with Shaw's "TS" and what appears to be a scrolled "I". Overall very good condition. Small monogram on lid, also includes original sponge. A truly stunning piece with amazing detail and craftsmanship!
