Vintage Electroplated and Sterling Silver Bottle Coasters

About the Item

A fine pair of vintage Elizabeth II electroplated silver and sterling silver bottle coasters in the William IV style; part of our electroplated silverware collection These fine vintage Elizabeth II silver plated coasters have a circular cylindrical form. Each coaster is embellished with chased floral and foliate decoration accented with grape clusters and shell designs. The upper plateaued rim of each coaster is encircled with a thread decorated border. The coasters are each fitted with turned mahogany bases ornamented and retain the original circular hallmarked sterling silver button style vacant cartouche to the centre. These silver plated coasters are fitted with green baize to the underside. Condition These fine coasters are fine quality and in excellent condition. The electroplated silver hallmarks struck to the rim of each base are very clear. Full sterling hallmarks struck to each button are also very clear.
