Digoin Sarreguemines Majolica Tableware, Trivet, Coasters & Knife Rests Set / 15

About the Item

A French trivet, coaster, and knife rest set from Digoin Sarreguemines, France, circa 1950s. A green majolica glaze on a basket weave mold, a large serving trivet, two bottle coasters, and twelve knife rests – the complete set for protecting your table linens. Every French home had at least one of these sets for indoor or al fresco dining. The trivet and coasters are eight-sided and footed. The rests are raised on molded ‘knotted’ ends. Trivet: 8.5 in. diameter x 1 in. height. Wine coasters: 5 in. Diameter. x .50 in. height Knife Rests: 3.5 in. L x 1.25 in. H Marked: Digoin Sarreguemines, with their crested mark, France Very good conditions, one knife rest shows a bit of discoloration.
