Antique 1930s judge theatre papier mâché head from Paris This lot is a rare original 1930s papier mâché French theatre heads. This item was obtained via a private collection in Lyon and was originally sourced from an old theatre in Paris (France). A very rare decorative item that is stamped / numbered with original papier mâché material, hand painted with detail. This item is completely authentic and untouched, structurally in wonderful condition. These types of items hardly come to market in such good overall condition, a serious addition to any collector’s collection. The item is completely in original condition very decorative and artistic in appearance and hold a very nostalgic visual effect. The item does not come with its stand photographed with. Dimensions: H 17” x W 13” x D 12” Condition: The item is completely solid and structurally sound, a light patina is visible to the surface, the item shows wear and tear through use and age and illustrated in the photos provided. Aged marks and scratches are visible as well as loss of color across the paint. The item has aged flacking and weathering which is also shown in the photos provided so please view all the close ups as part of this advert. The cheeks on this item have previously been repaired however do not affect the visual effect of this item (photos provided).
