Very rare double sided glass Raleigh bike advertising shop sign
This is a beautiful Raleigh bike advertising shop sign, it is made in in a crackle finish mirror with enameled text in red and dark yellow
A great piece, dating back to the 1920s heyday of the steel bike and its huge popularity
The double sided shield glass sign is set in a metal frame with large blacksmith made hanging hooks, the condition of the sign is very good but the hanging hooks are rusty, we have threaded them on to a pole for the purposes of display
The sign shows the R & Co. trade mark in red and yellow, both sides are the same
The sign is 28” high, 18.5” wide and 2” thick
