About the Item

Double crystal light fixture by Swedish Eriksmålaglas (presumed) in the 1950s, super attractive Scandinavian Modern crystal glass and rosewood hanging light in excellent vintage condition. Gorgeous light fixture, comprised of two crystal glass shades, oval shaped, with polished brass tops and a rosewood crossbar to give stability. Each glass shade is made up of four square glass pieces with faceted ornamentation, secured to an internal polished brass frame by brass screws. The faceted ornamented ensures optimal scattering of the emitted light, but also captures the natural daylight while hanging. The rosewood crossbar adds a stylish touch. The light's journey through the faceted, slightly curved crystal glass squares, makes for a soft diffused ambient light - perfect for hanging over a kitchen island or a dining table. It would also look gorgeous over a sitting area in the living. This piece is often credited to Carl Fagerlund and Orrefors, but we think that the style and materials are closer to those of the Swedish glassworks, Eriksmålaglas. Condition: Excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of usage and age. All glass pieces are intact, the brass part have been polished and the rosewood crossbar has been oil-treated. Please see the photos! All original, but rewired with 2 m (6' 6.7") high end quality, white cord - for safety and beauty. Two white plastic canopies included. Tested and fully functional. Polished, cleaned, labelled and packed in protective bag. Light source: wo bulbs, Edison screw-fittings (E27/E26) Max 75 Watt each.
