French Mid-19th Century Louis XVI St. Oak Eight-Arm Chandelier
About the Item
A lovely and most attractive French mid 19th century Louis XVI st. oak eight arm chandelier. The chandelier is centered by a charming richly carved cherub seemingly holding up the chandelier above. Each of the eight arms branch out from lovely foliate designs and display elegant fluted designs, large finely detailed acanthus leaves and beaded candle cups. The central support displays most impressive foliate carvings and striking scrolled movements. Wonderful warm patina throughout.
