About the Item

At the bottom, five strings made of loops support a ring of lights, and the entire chandelier is finished with an abundance of lush tassels. Custom sizes available. The art of passementerie dated back to the 15th century, the excitement and popularity of the craft surged in the 18th century during the reign of Louis the XIV and Versailles, every pieces of fabrics, upholstery, bridles, carriages were beautified with the uses of braids, tassles, trims and fringes. The military also took a liking to this trend throughout the ensuing decades.
