Unique and stunning 19th century copy of a 16th century Gothic art chandelier.
With another year of selling rare and beautiful antiques almost over, we are proud to offer you one of our best finds this year. Because of the quality of this antique copy it took us a while to figure out what we were looking at. This large and unique, solid bronze candle chandelier is such a good copy of a 16th century Gothic chandelier that it takes a trained eye to tell the difference. This most definitely is a very rare antique, but if it would have been an original from the 16 century then it would have been worth around 40.000 dollar (possibly more). The combination of the pure Gothic design and its truly ancient look and feel makes this piece very suitable for a genuine Medieval (style) interior. This almost 200 year-old specimen is just as rare as the 16th century ones and if you appreciate the history and beauty of the Gothic style then this amazing light fixture could be perfect for you. When we first saw this Gothic work of lighting art, we were in awe and (as it goes with great antiques) we still are. The magnificent design, but also the Medieval crudeness of all the hand-crafted, bronze Gothic elements make this antique chandelier a true work of art and a absolute joy to own and look at. Especially with the candles burning in the evenings this antique creates an atmosphere that is second to none. This decorative and solid bronze chandelier still is in superb condition and over time its patina will only grow richer.
