Art Nouveau Period Bronze and Shell Lamp
About the Item
The flowing decorative spiralling vines arching upward and above the stylish patinated bronze base are fundamentals of the French Art Nouveau movement. These vines ultimately embrace a wonderful iridescent conch shell. The conch shell conceals a bulb that, when illuminated creates a warm soothing glow that would enhance any decor. The ensemble is a stunning vintage example of Art Nouveau period lighting. The lamp is in excellent physical and working condition. It is newly rewired and features an inline switch. The shell is intact and is in very good to excellent condition.
