About the Item

This large wooden dresser top pocket watch stand and vide poche is unmarked, but believed to have been made in England in approximately 1890 in the period Victorian style. The stand is composed of mahogany with a nicely turned stand at the back and small inset compartments across the front. The wood has been painted black with nice details and has applied brass accents across sides of the stand and inset brass cups on the front of the base as well as the perimeter.
