Louis Vuitton Silver Travel Cutlery in Leather Case

About the Item

A Louis Vuitton silver travel cutlery in leather case. The travel cutlery made by Nicolas Demontay, Paris with silver hallmark of France for small objects 800/1000 silver purity. Master silversmith mark for Nicolas Demontay (Paris 32, rue Feydeau), registered in 1876 and member of the list of goldsmiths of Paris from 1875 to 1914 and impressed mark L. Vuitton. Originally the whole set was gold plated. It has faded by use. The travel cutlery consists of a spoon, a fork (both silver 800) and a knife. The knife set consists of a silver knife (800/1000) and a metal knife and a corkscrew. The case is from a later period The measurement of the spoon is 17 cm long, 3.5 cm wide and the height is 1.5 cm The total weight is 208 grams.
