Antique Victorian Silver Plate Figural Cigar Humidor Jar Box by James W. Tufts

Gorgeous trinket box or powder jar featuring an ornate scroll and lattice design sterling silver overlay over a pretty pink porcelain. The mark on the bottom is not legible.

Elaborate figural Egyptian Revival Victorian biscuit jar made by Mappin & Webb during the 19th century. This highly stylized piece features a winged sphinx with an Egyptian head piece finial. The piece is heavily engraved and has 4 four plaques that can be personalized. The bottom edge interior and outer edge is beaded and it stands on four stylized claw feet. The bottom is stamped with an early Mappin & Webb hallmark along with W 16 and some etched handwritten numbers as well. A truly spectacular piece that would be a wonderful addition to your home.
