About the Item

Traditional Oriental runner rug, handwoven wool carpet runner. This elegant wool runner rug was woven by hand in the 1950s. The central design has been intricately woven with diamonds and motifs symmetrically placed on dark background in colors of orange, brown and red accents. This is then framed by a decorative border that encloses the sophisticated design. Constructed with fin organic materials including hand-spun wools and cotton which have been dyed with organic vegetable dyeing techniques. The skills used in the construction of this piece make it hardwearing and so perfect for any room. Easily style this piece with Classic and contemporary home styles.
