Antique Chinese Peeking rug, circa 1890. Weaving in Peking began circa 1900 during the revival of Chinese carpet manufacturing when the other weaving areas such as Ningxia moved to the capital. Peking rugs are normally minimalist with a narrow color palette and designs motivated by symbols of the Chinese heritage. Colors: gold/blue/purple/tan. Size: 9'2 x 11'7.
