Scandinavian Modern Swedish Kilim Rug, Signed Nkt
About the Item
Beautiful geometric decor in Yellow, grey, green and brown tones. This rug is from Nk-textilkammare (NK-textile chamber) flat-woven Swedish rug, executed in a single interlocking tapestry technique. Signed NKT (Nk textile chamber). The department was lead by designer Astrid Sampe between 1936-1971. There were several Swedish famous designers who delivers patterns for the studio. Names such as Viola Gråsten and Sven Markelius. This rug has been repaired with new ends. Water cleaned. Great condition.

Cleaned and with new reconditioned ends. The working weavers in MMF atelier at Båstad also used to make rugs for themselves.
