"Campi di Gravità Viola Astratto 2" is a limited-edition signature rug by designer Deanna Comellini, founder and art director of Italian brand G.T.DESIGN, pioneer in the field of contemporary rugs.
This runner rug is created using a first quality, hand-spun viscose fiber, which gives to the piece an incomparable sheen and color depth making it reflect light.
"Campi di Gravità" is an evolution of "Kama", G.T.DESIGN’s revolutionary rug. The first rug to use a luxurious and wild hand-woven viscose, the groundbreaking design features the highest quality of the reflective fiber to create a thick yarn with a unique brilliance, softness, and color depth. The dope-dyed yarn is hand weaved on traditional looms and cut it through an irregular technique.
The project "Campi di Gravità" is also the result of Deanna Comellini’s exploration of the evocative power of color and materials. The designer focused on our emotional links to primary colors, playing with their contrasts in her abstract designs.
In "Campi di Gravità Viola Astratto 2", a fiery red runs like hot lava through the violet and brown soil-like backdrop.
This modern rug has a timeless elegance that will take center stage in any space, shifting the perception of rug design from accessory to essential in interior architecture.

About the designer:
Deanna Comellini is an artist and a designer.
For over 40 years, she has experimented by combining craftsmanship and industrial design while working first on product design and later on textiles. She has developed the notion of ‘imperfect design’, highlighting the minor flaws of materials and handmade products that make them unique and one-of-a-kind. In the 1990s, she focused on the concept of the contemporary rug and natural materials while innovating the industry with a new textile for interior design. In 1977, she founded G.T.DESIGN taking on the role of Creative Director. She participated in prestigious international exhibitions and collaborated with important architectural figures, including Toyo Ito and the Zaha Hadid Architects studio.
Deanna Comellini was named one of the 100 Most Influential Women by Forbes Italy in 2022.
