Antique 1920 Pair of Fully Restored Hardwood Framed Brown Leather Club Armchairs

About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning pair of fully restored circa 1910 - 1920 French club armchairs with very rare Rosewood frames These are pretty much the finest pair or original leather armchairs I have ever seen, they are also the only pair I have come across with early Rosewood frames. They have exceptionally elegant lines which look expensive and important from all angles As mentioned, these chairs are fully restored, firstly the seat platforms were removed, they then had the padding restored, then the original springs were refitted and all new webbing was applied, they then went on to the French polishers where the timber was lightly washed back and French polished, I asked them to keep in the original patina as they really show their age in the best possible way, lastly our leather polishers have hand dyed both this amazing one off deep cigar brown colour, these are original hide pieces so again I asked them to leave in the period patination These are some of the most comfortable armchairs you will ever sit in, they are fully spring both back and base and the base is like a trampoline, sublime! Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
