This antique pair of chairs from France each features a shapely, upholstered back, with elegantly arched crest rail, all framed within molded wood trim. Carved wood arms, with manchette pads for comfort, terminate into scrolled knuckles. Front arm supports are embellished with acanthus-leaf carvings. And the skirting mimics the simplistic trim of the back edges, with flower-head carved accents just above the profiled knees.
