18th Century Invalide Chair in Working Condition

About the Item

Hand carved beechwood, reclining, wing-back invalide chair in wonderful working condition. The frame fit with hand-forged, wrought iron handles and toothed arc to specify chair back angle. The frame upholstered in new fabric with brass nail heads, the crown and apron featuring floral relief carvings.
