A majestic set of fourteen (14) Art Nouveau influenced arm dining chairs from an impossible to find seating series produced by the wickedly talented Betty Cobonpue, circa 1980. Stout expertly crafted solid mahogany construction painstakingly veneered in steamed bamboo, masterfully projecting a stunning wave or ribbon effect. Lovely seat apron and subtle Klismos leg detail. Striking high-gloss black lacquer finish. Design, quality and execution that is beyond incredible. Stout, comfortable and intended for heavy routine use. Serious chairs specifically designed to anchor an important dining room. Arm height is 24 inches at the highest point. Arm width is 24.5 at the widest point. Excellent restored condition. Meticulous complete professional restoration. Expert custom upholstery in a neutral textured Larsen fabric. All bamboo veneer is intact and complete. The price listed is for the set of fourteen (14) chairs. Retains the Maker mark.
