About the Item
Larissa Batista began designing the Jolly Seats Collection as an artistic depiction of early-20th-century’s Cubism movement. Eventually evolving into its own language, the Jolly Seats Collection came into fruition after gaining its own individually cheerful styling. The collection, currently composed of three pieces, marks the beginning of a new chapter in artistic upholstered furniture. "The Toca Lounge Chair is an emblem of geometric expression in furniture design"
This chair's design is inspired by the Alice in Wonderland fairytale. Curiously, it's nickname during its development and prototype process was 'The Rabbit Hole'. Its design, now fully formed and defined, takes shape as the Toca lounge chair.
The Toca lounge chair can be upholstered with a wide range of fabrics options. Bouclé, velvet and linen all provide incredible softness both in texture and esthetic.

Larissa Batista
Larissa Batista is a Brazilian designer, currently a senior partner at the Know How Design Studio, in Porto Alegre. She is also member of the Raiz Project since 2017. Working with product, furniture and interior design, her products compose many projects of famed architects and decorators around the world. Being mostly well-know for her original aesthetic and the creation of the Wave chaise lounge, Larissa has had a lot of success showcasing her furniture pieces in international renowned fairs such as ICFF in NYC and isaloni in Milan, Italy.
