Pair of Late 19th Century French Louis XVI Style Hand Carved Walnut Opera Chairs
About the Item
This pair of late nineteenth century French opera chairs is constructed of solid walnut and features hand carved Louis XVI style knotted ribbons at the top of the seatbacks. The ladder back is appointed with finials. Newly upholstered in a pink fabric with a fleur-de-lys motif, the seats rest on turned legs joined by horizontal supports on all sides. c. 1880.
