Antique Art Deco Cast Bronze & Brass Collapsible Book Stand with Camels
About the Item
This very well executed cast and cold-painted bronze and brass book stand is unsigned, but presumed to have originated from Austria and dating to approximately 1920 and done in a period Art Deco style. The stand is quite heavy and very sturdy and constructed of detailed cast and cold painted seated camels on either end, with telescoping brass tubing between them. The back side of the camels are cast with a model number, and the book stand reaches approximately twenty four inches when fully extended.
