19th Century Swedish Pine Rococo and Gustavian Clock Bureau Cabinet

About the Item

Clock bureau cabinet from the transitional period between rococo and gustavian, around 1810. The clock cabinet is from Northern Sweden and dry scraped by hand to old historic paint. The cabinet combines multiple furnitures by having both the writing desk and clock. It is richly decorated with ribs on the doors and drawers, simple flower motives around the clock and a curved pediment - to name a few. Made in two parts with working locks and keys. Original hardware in brass. Healthy and stable. The lower cabinet measures: Height: 108 cm Depth: 50 cm Height to desk: 69 cm The upper cabinet: Height: 134 cm Depth: 23 cm Total height is 242 cm. Width is 115 cm.
