Marquetry Dressing Chest

About the Item

19th century Dutch marquetry dressing chest. Finely carved barley twist posts hold scalloped swing vanity mirror. Each post with original scrolled S-shaped brass candleholder. Mahogany chest in two pieces: the bottom with four large drawers the top with two smaller vanity drawers. Intricate satinwood and ebony inlay in fine floral pattern throughout. Original brass hardware.
