About the Item

An incredibly rare and special executive credenza designed by M. F. Harty and produced by Stow Davis as part of the 'Tomorrow' collection in 1974; a series of designs that were futuristic and produced in extremely low numbers, making each piece highly sought after collectors items. It is estimated that only approximately 30 of the credenzas and desks were made so if you or your client seeks to have what almost no one else has, this piece provides that ultimate bragging right. Beautifully restored in a French Polish. Signed with Stow Davis plaque to one of the drawers as shown in the photos. Ideal for collectors and investors of art and modern design. This wildly unique executive credenza features two pull-out drawers in the center flanked by a pull-out file drawer and cabinet door with interior storage on either side. The thick high-gloss French Polish finish to the gracefully rounded walnut top provides extra depth to the vivid walnut grain detail. This massive piece floats on top of a U-shaped chromed pedestal and inside the cabinet doors are mirrored steel panelling giving more futuristic elements to this Space Age collectors piece. This sometimes misattributed to Vladimir Kagan and Paul Evans futuristic executive credenza / sideboard/ cabinet would work great in a Mid-Century Modern, Scandanavian Modern or Danish Modern home or penthouse apartment but could also look fantastic in a Contemporary or Post-Modern room. Also consider mixing it up in a Traditional, Transitional, Classical or Art Deco room with a splash of juxtaposition. Would also be an Apt choice in a commercial project such as a hotel lobby lounge or members club, creative design studio or high-rise executive office. MEASUREMENTS: H 28.5" x W 96" x D 22" CONDITION: Restored in a French Polish lacquer which provides a thick protective surface and also makes the vivid wood grain pop more than normal. Ready for immediate use in a high-end luxury interior.
