18th Century Scandanvian Rococo Giltwood and Walnut Bureau Bookcase

About the Item

A very impressive 18th Century Rococo carved giltwood and Walnut bureau bookcase, having wonderful scrolling foliate and plume decoration to the cornice, a single mirror door with giltwood surround, opening to reveal shelves within, the top drawer opening to reveal a compartmented secretair within, three further oak lined drawers beneath in the bombe shaped base, wonderful fretted ormolu carrying handles to the sides and raised on a carved blind fret work base with scrolling feet.
