Christian VIII Serpentine-Front Sideboard in West Indies Mahogany, circa 1850

About the Item

A very lovely and well-crafted sideboard/ credenza in fine West Indies mahogany with serpentine front that features two drawers over two cabinet doors, with carved rocaille details bordering the door panels. A small backsplash runs along the top sides and back, with carved rosette finials on the corners. Base rests on carved escargot feet on the front and finished square feet in the rear. The book-matching and the choice of wood grains enhances the beauty of this lovely cabinet! Denmark, circa 1850. Measures: 53 1/2" wide x 25 1/2" deep x 40 1/2" high (Surface height: 36 1/2") Note: You should always request a shipping quote.
