French Art Deco Sideboard, Mahogany, Beige Parchment, Lacquer, France, 1940s

About the Item

French or Italian Art Deco sideboard or credenza. Finely constructed 1920s case is monumental and well constructed. A large and impressive sideboard from a era long gone by having Mahogany frame with gilt wood and parchment brass. Unsigned. Two curved walnut doors concealing adjustable shelves. Three parchment clad doors with four drawers on the right and one adjustable shelf on left. The whole sitting on a hidden base to give the appearance of floating on air. The back having been altered to accommodate a entertainment system by the previous owner. 1ELS.
