Vladimir Kagan Exotic Wood Illuminated Sideboard Bar Cabinet, c 1970s, Signed

About the Item

This impressive Vladimir Kagan for Vladimir Kagan Designs illuminated sideboard and hutch cabinet, in an exotic wood with incredible wood grain was restored in a luxurious French Polish which is the most expensive and labor intensive finish available due to its numerous hand applied and hand polished coats. The result is a thick heavy lacquer that is very resilient and protective, and also makes the wood grain pop out like no other finish can do. Signed with Vladimir Kagan Designs New York label. Featuring a long asymmetrical shelf which works great as a bar counter top, illuminated upper vitrine and illuminated lower cubby with glass doors and brass hardware, and invisible two pull out drawers one with built-in felt lining. The wood is exotic but we are unsure of the exact species. It appears to be Zebrawood and Kagan was known to use that species often during the 70s for his more elaborate and high end pieces. And best of all, the signed Kagan label makes this a collectors piece - ideal for art and design investors or interior designers looking for some authentic Kagan to make a room truly special. This opulent sideboard cabinet with vitrine hutch by Vladimir Kagan would look amazing in a Postmodern, Memphis, Art Deco, Mid-Century Modern, Contemporary, Traditional, Transitional, Neoclassical, Hollywood Regency, or Mixed Style home or office. This beautiful set of side chairs can be used together or individually throughout the home in locations such as a dining room, living room, den, games room, office space, entryway or bedroom. They would also be perfect in a hospitality or corporate location, such as a boutique hotel lobby, cocktail bar, members club, workspace studio, executive office or in a luxe clothing emporium. Have a conference room in a fancy high-rise or creative office? Consider this authentic and fully original 1970s modern Vladimir Kagan illuminated bookcase / bar unit and impress your clients while retaining asset value in this fabulous collectors piece.
