18th Century French Louis XV Bonnetiere, Armoire

About the Item

Louis XV walnut bonnetiere with original lock and decorative face plate, hinges and key. This handsome one door cabinet has a recessed panel with scrolls, wheat and cricket detail. The top and bottom apron have wheat and basket details. The shaped apron has scroll feet indicating the Bordeaux region. The sides have three panels with soft corners. The cabinet is of pegged construction. The interior has three shelves. The patina is rich and deep. The width of the body of the Armoire measures 42.5"
