Italian Occasional Table with Floral Medallion Inlay Adorning Top, Early 19th C

About the Item

An Italian occasional table or small writing desk from the early 19th century. This antique table from Italy is beautifully decorated with a fanned medallion inlay featured prominently at it's top center, and a ribbon banding inlay outlines the top edges. The ribbon banding continues to outline all four sides of the apron, with one side housing a single drawer which opens to reveal sectional storage within. The table is raised upon slender squared legs which taper gently towards their feet. Should you wish to use this lovely early 19th century Italian table as a small writing desk, the leg clearance between the apron bottom and floor is approximately 25.5" in height.
